About the Event
The TQCC Summer Solstice Sportive is our flagship annual event, and the only Titanic Quarter Cycling Club ride open to cyclists outside the club. Looking for a Belfast cycling sportive? Whether you’re a seasoned racer or a leisure rider, you’re welcome to join us for a Friday evening route through some of Belfast’s finest roads, making the most of the long summer daylight.
Held on a Friday evening to kick off the weekend, the route takes in the rolling hills of the greater Belfast area before returning to the finish for hot food and a BBQ. Multiple pace groups ensure the event is accessible to all abilities.
Schedule
- 5:30 pm – 6:00 pm — Sign-on
- 6:15 pm — Route briefing
- 6:30 pm — Ride out
- From 8:30 pm — Hot food service begins

Showers, changing facilities, and parking available on site.
Licence Requirements
No one-day licence or Cycling Ireland licence is required to take part in the sportive.
In Memory of Philip Corr
The Solstice Sportive is held in memory of Philip Corr, a founding member of Titanic Quarter Cycling Club who passed away while cycling in April 2019. Phil was one of the people who helped bring TQCC to life and his spirit lives on in this event every year.
